The heart of our inspection systems is created in software development, from defect evaluation and user-friendly visualization to integration in complex line and control processes. Through our modular system concept, we flexibly serve the specific requirements of our customers.
With our software products, we offer our customers the right tools for process analysis and optimization. Here, we combine our many years of experience, state-of-the-art approaches, e.g. from the field of artificial intelligence, and concepts for intuitive handling into turnkey applications from a single source.

Our in-house basic development department carries out simulations, preliminary studies and feasibility analyses in our laboratories and technical center and demonstrates the performance of our inspection systems in live presentations. The degree of innovation of our products is reflected in numerous patented solutions of Baumer Inspection.

In electrical design, we use E-Plan, a widely used planning software. The circuit diagrams and parts lists are updated until after system integration into the production line has been completed. In this way, we also keep the electrical system documentation up to date at all times and can refer to spare parts parts lists in the event of system expansions or changes.

Our mechanical design department develops concepts and ideas for robust and industrially suitable system solutions and advises you on the integration into your production lines. In doing so, the CAD system supports all common file formats with easy data exchange. A product data management (PDM) system ensures the sustainable documentation of system variants in a device file.

The final assembly of our electro-optical inspection systems requires special care. In a clean, controlled environment, the individual detection channels of our inspection systems are set up and combined in such a way that environmental influences in the harsh production environment of our customers cannot affect system performance. Our experience from the close interaction of electrics and mechanics forms the basis for the high reliability of the systems.

During system commissioning, a basic setting of all essential system functions takes place, the project-specific software settings are parameterized and then tested. Each system is thus subjected to a defined commissioning procedure, at the end of which the project-specific system check is carried out as part of a factory acceptance test (FAT).

Each of our systems passes through a strict internal testing and acceptance process on our specially developed test equipment. Here, on the one hand, the specified system performance is checked and, on the other hand, the project-specific detection performance is verified on the basis of customer samples. Thus, we can ensure to a very high degree that the factory system settings are already adapted to the conditions of the later production environment. In our technical center we present a selection of our current systems. It is the meeting point in our company for interested parties and customers. Here we show which advantages our systems offer for the most different inspection tasks, can carry out examinations and demonstrations with individual samples. Through direct exchange and presentation, an optimal solution can be worked out. Furthermore, our technical center offers the possibility to develop, build and intensively test new innovations.
